Weekly Must-Have: Playa Ritual Hair Oil
I don’t brush my hair. Years of experimentation has led me to the conclusion that hair brushes and my hair do not mix (Spoiler: poofiness ensues). I’m also not a fan of heat styling, so air-drying is my game…Unless, of course, my colorist blesses me with a blow-out, in which case I’m given approximately three days of #goodhair once a month.
I have thick hair, I have a lot of hair, and it’s long…no, it doesn’t look like the locks of any of the Kardashian sisters. Sigh. Since I color my hair it’s also very dry, and, other than relying on weekly DIY coconut oil hair masks, I’m always on the hunt for products that’ll soften my hair, tame the frizzies, and keep tangles at bay. Is this too much to ask for?
And then I came across the answer: Playa Ritual Hair Oil. I’m not even joking when I say that this weightless oil (it’s almost like water) literally tackles all of my hair woes at once. I apply a little to the ends of my hair when it’s wet, and scrunch the rest up mid-length, then go about my day. About an hour later I’m rocking my hair’s natural wave without tangles or crunch. My hair feels light and I can run my fingers through it with the confidence of a member of the #hairenvy club. It’s definitely my can’t-leave-home-without-it hair product.
Formulated entirely of naturally derived oils like kukui nut oil and sunflower oil, this hair savior also protects tresses from UV damage and color-fading, it’s definitely a #summerhair requirement. As for thick-haired, frizzy girls like me, I’ll be rationing this bottle to last me through winter! Oh and while I am very selective when it comes to dry shampoo, since most make my hair feel oilier ironically, I am also in love with the Playa Pure Dry Shampoo. It refreshes my strands in between shampoos without weighing my hair down…I actually use it as hairspray too!
I’ll admit I am a skeptical beauty-enthusiast, but when I come across beauty products that actually work, I commit. Signed, a happy-haired gal.
