Weekly Must-Have: It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream Oil Free Matte
Similar to Sarah’s predicament mentioned here, I realized a few weeks ago I was overdoing it on the dew-factor. Since incorporating a Vitamin-C serum into my morning skin routine, I’m pretty well moisturized and glowy by the time I get around to applying makeup. Full-coverage foundations are just too aggressive for my day-to-day, but my go-to tinted moisturizers and BB creams were sliding off my face. Luckily, IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream Oil Free Matte came onto my radar.
The original iteration of this product has been raved about for years, but the newest matte version was what really piqued my interest. Most matte formulas tend to be a bit too cakey and drying for my taste, resulting in an unpleasant application that pulls on my skin and flakes on any unevenness. Not this one. It Cosmetics Matte CC+ seems to never crease or crack. The powerful ingredient list (plumping collagen and detoxifying charcoal, just to name a few) work together to achieve the impossible: a shine-free yet moisturizing full-coverage product.
I was surprised at how little I needed to use to achieve my desired level of coverage. I generally apply a nickel-sized amount of tinted moisturizer, but with the IT product I only needed half a pump to cover up some redness from acne and even out the pores in my t-zone. I applied it with my favorite Artis brush, but I’ve heard it also plays very well with a damp BeautyBlender.
I almost always use a setting powder, but while using the CC+, I became distracted and I forgot that step. Good thing I did! Thanks to its mattifying properties, I had no need for powder. The CC+ foundation stayed put all day without a hint of shine.
It’s earned a permanent spot in my makeup arsenal. Get involved, shiny friends – you won’t regret it.
