The Products That Gigi Hadid’s Makeup Artist Has In His Beauty Kit

You can learn a lot about beauty application — and products — via social media, especially Instagram. After a recent sleepless night, getting pulled into the dark depths of Instagram’s black hole, I discovered famed editorial makeup artist Benjamin Puckey’s page. He’s worked with celebs like Gigi Hadid, Hailey Baldwin, and Suki Waterhouse, and he’s followed by some of the industry’s most notable names, like Mario Dedivanovic (of Kardashian fame) and Patti Dubroff. Clearly, this guy is the real deal. So, when he posts a product that’s in his kit — or an application tip — you pay attention. And, lucky for us, he tends to do this A LOT.

Here’s a breakdown of Benjamin’s favorite products and tips on how to use them, as found on his Instagram:

L’Oreal Color Riche Eyeshadow in Noir C’est Noir ($5) – “Finally a jet black shadow that has zero fallout because of its creamy (almost liner-like) consistency and blends like a matte powder.”

Ben Nye Makeup Fireworks Wheel ($20) – “Before Madina’s Chic & Shine stick, before the plethora of highlighters we have now, we had the OG of highlighters.” Mario comments that he still uses it (Kim K halo glow, anyone?) and when someone asks how you strobe with the colorful highlighting wheel, Benjamin replies: “You use the platinum shade alone or mix it with one of the other shades. It creates an amazing intense highlight. It mixes with any kind of balm too.” Further Instagram scrolling shows that Ben is a fan of Glossier’s Balm Dot Com ($12).

Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Lipstick in Nude Kate ($34), Lipgloss in Seduction ($22), and Lip Liner in Iconic Nude ($22) – “Still my favorite nudes,” writes Benjamin. We’re always on the hunt for the perfect fleshy-pink nude, so thanks!

Cle De Peau Radiant Fluid Foundation ($125) – “Anyone that’s worked with me knows of my love for Clé De Peau’s Radiant Fluid Foundation: my absolute favorite for a luminous, flawless complexion. A true luxury product that’s really worth the splurge.”

NYDG Skincare – “New skincare obsession. Calming, light, and soothing, plus perfect under makeup.” Try their Ultra-Light Hydra-Gel ($68), an “antioxidant-rich formula enriched with Hyaluronic Acid, soothing Lavender, Willowherb, and Grape Seed and Green Tea extracts to protect against environmental stressors.” Ideal for combination/ oily skin types.

Chanel Correcteur Perfection ($42) – “For years now I’ve been using [this] concealer. It stays on all day, covers dark circles and blemishes. I sometimes use just a bit of the concealer instead of foundation. I use a MAC 217 Blending Brush to gently press and blend out the concealer under the eyes, and for blemishes I use a smaller eyeliner brush for precise application.” (as told to Teen Vogue). Umm, great. We’re in.

The Beauty Blender Bloterazzi Sponge ($20) – “Perfect to freshen up makeup using a blotting motion. The original and micro mini sponges are also regulars in my kit (in black of course).

Nars Lipgloss in Orgasm ($26) – Benjamin notes that he uses this lipgloss on Hailey Baldwin, writing, “Back in trailer with Hailey Baldwin and her luscious lips sporting Nars Lipgloss in Orgasm.” It’s a glossy, universally flattering peachy-pink that looks like your actual lips, but better. Le sigh.
