Pretty Little Underthings

In addition to encouraging us to ramp up our workout routines and revamp our makeup and hair regimens, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show gave us a serious urge to invest in some new lingerie. Whether you wear it for you or someone else, gorgeous undergarments are a serious game changer, even if you don’t look like a VS Angel! The very knowledge that you’re donning a pretty little underthing (or two), can lift your spirits and change your mood.

Lingerie designer Ana Asensio of Eberjey, fills us in on some of the current lingerie trends. At the forefront are “vintage inspired underwired bras in very comfortable silhouettes, soft lace strapping using lace and chiffon, soft printed triangle bras that are perfect under loose layers, cheeky thongs printed in delicate laces or jersey, and fun styling pieces such as bodysuits,” explains Asensio.

If you’re building your lingerie wardrobe, there are certain “must-haves” that no girl should overlook. Consider beautiful lingerie an investment, and aim to add to your collection over time. You don’t need to blow up your credit card and buy it all at once. With proper care, these pieces will last for years, through several boyfriends — maybe even husbands!
