Favorites: The Tinted Moisturizer

A tinted moisturizer is a wonderful summer companion – although I happen to use mine year round. It’s light weight, offers sheer coverage (think: no-makeup-makeup look), but can be layered on for additional coverage, hydrates the skin, and combines two, often times 3 important steps into one: moisturizer, foundation and sunscreen (making it quite popular for us ladies on-the-go).

Here are a few of my favorite tinted moisturizers. Wear them alone or combine them with your favorite foundation for a more polished nighttime look:

Amore Pacific Moisture Bound Tinted Treatment Moisturizer SPF 15 – It’s the perfect hybrid between a moisturizer and light coverage. Think: dewy skin meets a fine layer of foundation. (click here for a full review)

Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint – The oil-free tinted moisturizer boasts even coverage in a matte formula (great for summer) while still adhering to the unspoken rule of tinted moisturizers: a light tint goes a long way.

Dr. Jart Water Fuse Beauty Balm SPF 25 – Perhaps not your typical tinted moisturizer (I did a thorough review here), but this BB cream is definitely worth a place in your beauty bag. Part serum, part, sunscreen, part foundation, part primer, BB cream will protect, treat, cover and prime skin for an overall flawless application that really gives off that no-makeup-makeup look.

Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20– A diamond in the rough, this tinted moisturizer has long been my favorite. I use it year round for even coverage that really gives a beautiful tint without the look of caky makeup.

Hourglass Illusion Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free SPF 15 – This moisturizing tinted cream will give you a flawless complexion while hydrating and lifting the skin. The look is quite close to perfection. Ideal for drier skin types.
