Favorites: Thayers Witch Hazel Toning Towelettes

Is there anything better than Witch Hazel? That’s a rhetorical question because, obviously, Witch Hazel is the best toner for every single skin type. From sensitive to oily, Witch Hazel naturally soothes, cleanses, and tones the skin. It’s one of those magical beauty ingredients that skincare enthusiasts can’t get enough of and Thayers’ Witch Hazel is a game-changer. The alcohol-free formula contains Certified Organic Witch Hazel that is sourced from a family farm in Fairfield County, Connecticut and made the old-fashioned way – it’s not distilled, so it contains 195% more tannins, which are naturally occurring substances found in the bark and skin of some plants, including Witch Hazel. Tannins have mild antioxidant properties and help to balance skin’s pH levels, reduce irritation and serve as one of the best natural acne remedies. So, you can imagine my excitement when Thayers asked me to try out their newly launched Witch Hazel Toning Towelettes (excitement level: exuberant).

What are Thayers Witch Hazel Toning Towelettes? Pre-soaked Witch Hazel towelettes in a convenient, on-the-go container. Perfect for the gym, car, mid-day office pick-me-up, these towelettes get rid of the grime without stripping the skin of all of its natural goodness. The Toning Towelettes come in four delicious formulas: Unscented, Rose Petal, Cucumber, and Lemon.
Let’s start with Unscented; it truly is my go-to. It’s easy, clean, refreshing, and gets the job done. Plus, I happen to love the natural scent of Witch Hazel. I use Witch Hazel as a toner every night after washing my face, prior to adding serums and creams. These pre-soaked towelettes make it even faster to tone (and way easier to travel, too).

But Rose Petal, Cucumber, and Lemon deliver multiple benefits to the skin, with an added hint of scent and luxury.

Rose Petal is a wonderful anti-aging ingredient, plus it smells like a bouquet of roses. Hydrating and moisturizing, rose petal water provides a dewy and glowing complexion. I actually like to use these towelettes on my body, post-yoga to clean off the sweat and add a little rosy scent. I’m such a germ freak, that I actually wipe my yoga mat with the towelette prior to practicing. Not only does it clean the mat, it leaves me with a faint, lingering scent of rose. Delish.

Cucumber, an incredibly soothing ingredient, is great for calming sensitive skin types and adding a bit of hydration back to the complexion. I’ve been using these towelettes to clean off my BeautyBlender after each use. The Witch Hazel removes excess makeup and bacteria, and the cucumber gives it a subtle scent of — you guessed it — cucumber.

The Lemon Witch Hazel towelettes are ideal for working on the pores and discoloration. Post-summer sun has left my chest with a few less-than-ideal spots. I’ve been swiping the Lemon towelette onto my chest every morning prior to moisturizer and sunscreen (of course) to cleanse, tone, and help fade discoloration. I’m also using these to clean my sunglass rims (so important to avoid breakouts!) and my iPhone (same). The lemon is an added astringent to thoroughly clean my specs and screens.

Whatever your skin concern, there’s certainly a Thayers Witch Hazel Toning Towelette formula for you. Need extra moisture? Opt for the Rose Petal. Calming hydration? Cucumber is your go-to. Is acne or discoloration your concern? Make it Lemon. Or, do like me, and use different scents. I like variety, and I also like results. These towelettes deliver both.
