#BeautyCrush: Selena Gomez

#BeautyCrush: Selena Gomez

We’re crushing so hard over April’s Vogue cover girl Selena Gomez. And how could we not fall head-over-heels in love, with her perfectly tousled hair, dark almond-shaped eyes, and full beautiful lips? Selena’s beauty game has gone from underrated girl-next-door to full on #goals pretty much overnight, it’s no wonder she’s the most followed person on Instagram.

Selena doesn’t require tons of makeup to look gorge, but has been wearing some knockout looks on red carpets lately and her selfie game is pretty enviable. And don’t get us started on her street style, #ootd inspiration for days.

Read on as we gush over our current #BeautyCrush…

Selena’s AM beauty routine is 3 simple steps: wash, tone, moisturize. The 24-year-old beauty doesn’t require a ton of skincare prep (oh, to be young), but says that she struggles with oiliness and breakouts (just like us). She’ll try just about any beauty and skincare product, as there is not one she absolutely loves, although she admits she was raised on Oil of Olay moisturizer ($9) and is a fan of overnight masks and using a humidifier to keep her skin soft and clear. At night, she simply washes off the day’s face, never going to bed with makeup on.

Selena’s longtime makeup artist Hung Vanngo has been keeping her absolutely gorgeous and says that beautiful makeup requires beautiful skin, which Selena’s got. A fan of “minimal-looking makeup,” Vanngo uses Burt’s Bees Lipstick ($7), Stila Convertible Color ($25), and Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter ($44) on his celeb beauty muses (which also include Emily Ratajkowski and Karli Kloss) to achieve the coveted “no makeup” look. To create Selena’s 2016 Met Gala look (doll-face elegance, anyone?), Vanngo used Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Killer Cheekbones ($110) to keep Selena’s visage “fresh and dewy” and DiorDiorshow Extase Mascara ($30) to bring out her eyes. Selena has admitted that she’s not into wearing makeup on the daily (with her skin, she gets away with it) and dished that her on-tour MUA mixes moisturizer with foundation to keep it light and let her skin breathe during performances.

Selena is definitely part of the #hairenvy club. She’s got naturally thick locks (which she calls her “staple piece”) and says that she uses Pantene Intense Hydration Shampoo ($5), when she washes her hair, which is about every three days according to the tress-blessed beauty. A little dry shampoo in between washes keeps her hair bouncy and she loves Pantene Pro-V Air Spray Hairspray ($5) for hold she can run her fingers through. We’d kill for her long mane, but we’re also digging the shoulder-grazing cut she’s currently rocking (the official cut of the season).

Selena has confessed to a less-than-perfect workout ethic and relies on her trainer to keep her in shape. When she’s on tour she says that she takes advantage of little “fitness tweaks” like hiking and using a sweat machine instead of intense time-consuming workouts. The girl looks great, just check out those gams!
