#BeautyCrush: Lily Aldridge
Not that Lily Aldridge needs any form of validation, but being part of the Victoria’s Secret Angels club pretty much ranks her as one of the most beautiful people in the world. So it’s only obvious that Beauty Banter is a member of the Lily Aldridge fan club. Name a more perfect set of cheekbones…we’ll wait.
Besides being a real-life angel, Lily Aldridge slays the beauty game, even making gold eyebrows look good! A knockout pout, brows we’d kill for, and the definition of #hairgoals, we’re overdue on naming Lily our #BeautyCrush. Seriously, we’re not worthy.
We scraped the internet for literally everything beauty on our beauty crush Lily Aldridge…
Lily Aldridge is a bath enthusiast (she takes a bath everyday) and raves about bath salts for everything from soothing muscles to drawing out toxins from the body. That and exfoliation is how Lily keeps her skin soft and smooth. Pretty simple. She’s got an interesting natural beauty routine going, throwing apple cider vinegar into her bath, making her own coffee + coconut oil scrub to help combat cellulite, and using dollops of greek yogurt with honey to treat puffy eyes…but she also likes Klorane Smoothing and Relaxing Patches ($24) and La Mer The Eye Concentrate ($205) for keeping her wide-eyed, wink! She keeps Proactiv Deep Cleansing Wash ($35) on deck, tones her skin with rose water (TRY: Heritage Store Rose Petals Rosewater), and moisturizes with an oil, she likes RMS Beauty Oil ($78)…And of course, Lily also sponsors the daily-SPF-will-keep-wrinkles-at-bay mantra. Looks like we’ll be subscribing to this VS-Angel’s beauty philosophy.
Lily loves her natural beauty products but also enlists the help of not-natural, but so good must-haves like Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes 5 Star Mascara ($29) for model lashes and Nars bronzer ($40) for…a model bronze of course. She’s been known to mix her favorite highlighter, Benefit Sun Beam Liquid Highlighter ($26) with foundation for her signature California-girl glow and further accentuates her killer cheekbones with RMS luminizer ($38). Lily has said that “less is more” when it comes to beauty, and basically wears only highlighter and lip balm…#beautyenvy. MUA to the celebs Hung Vanngo has also beautified our angel and was basically responsible for every VS-Angel beauty look for #VSHoliday17.
Lily is a fan of air-drying her hair (us too, Lily, us too!)…she looks like she pretty much wakes up with a perfect mane everyday (#envy). The queen of effortless, cool-girl hair, Lily has been rocking the summer-fave hairstyles, the half-up top knot and braids, with ease. As for texture: water and salt in a spray bottle makes for Lily Aldridge-waves, she says that she braids her hair after spritzing with her DIY salt spray and voilà, #summerbabe hair.
When your job title is literal angel, it requires taking really good care of your skin, mind, body, and soul. And Lily lives up to the title. She works out with her trainer, Mary Helen Bowers and loves yoga, ballet, barre, and boxing for keeping her in shape and runway-ready. She’s not a fan of cardio and relies on a diet of mainly protein and veggies, not just for looking good (and look good, she does), but also for feeling great, she says.
