#BeautyCrush: Jennifer Lopez
Where do we even begin to sing the praises of Jennifer Lopez? The hair, the makeup, the body, the wardrobe…the derrière…yup, she’s got it! @JLo just turned 48 and literally looks 25! (This is only a mild exaggeration). Seriously, how does the woman look decades younger, all while maintaining a meticulous career in music, film, and TV? Whatever it is, we’re buying.
Whether she’s nailing a killer dance routine, hanging with her hunk, or simply taunting us with what are possibly the most perfect abs in history, Jennifer Lopez is #lifegoals and then some.
Don’t mind us as we gush over J.Lo…
J.Lo’s secret to twenty-something skin may lie behind her skincare rule: maintenance. She says that she’s kept the same routine since her 20s, which includes a firm belief in SPF, sleep, and moisturizer! She belongs to the La Mer cult, but has also dished that she uses Dr. Hauschka Rose Day Cream ($45) on the daily. She also says that she believes in meditation for feeling good and looking great. We’re convinced she was a born with the genetic makeup of a goddess. Her facialist, Nichola Joss, who’s also responsible for Alicia Keys’ skin, may also have something to do with it.
Jennifer Lopez masters the au naturel makeup look on the daily, usually flaunting nude lips and bronzed skin. She admits that she’ll wear little-to-no makeup on off days, since she wears a lot for work. Her long-time MUA Mary Phillips is responsible for the enviable J.Lo-glow and has relied on L’oréal True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator ($13), Lancôme Star Bronzer Long Lasting Bronzing Powder ($36), and Dior Diorskin Rosy Glow blush ($44) to amp up the beauty’s features.
J.Lo’s hair is the kind of hair we take a photo of to our hair stylists and beg for the same result. She says that she indulges in a deep conditioning mask a few times a week. And she visits hair colorist to the stars, Tracey Cunningham, for those gorgeous bronzed locks.
Owning one of the most coveted bodies in Hollywood, J.Lo enlists the help of celebrity trainers, Tracy Anderson and David Kirsch. She meditates and dances regularly, and sticks to a healthy diet. She also apparently has super-human willpower…J.Lo doesn’t drink, smoke, or have ANY caffeine. What!? We know, but her philosophy makes sense: “How you feel inside and who you are inside kind of shows on your face.”
