Every season I feel like I write a variation of this post, but this season more than any, blue really did take over the runways and I’m predicting it’s going to hit the streets in a big way. From Paul Costelloe’s vibrant teal lids to a more moody navy smoky eye at Rodarte to a pop of pastel on the creases at Creatures of the Wind, there are many ways to wear a blue eye and a myriad of variations on the shade to choose from.

Last tuesday was the first official day of spring and that means it’s perfectly acceptable to pull out the open-toed shoes and bright pops of color – including makeup.

Last night’s Oscars mark the culmination of months of red carpet beauty predictions and trend watching. The award show season has sadly come to a close. But the Oscar red carpet did not disappoint. NYFW Fall 2012 Hair

Runway hair is an interesting beast. On the one hand, the hair should be nondescript as to allow the clothes to take center stage. On the other hand, as all artist’s know too well, leave a stylist with a brush, a myriad of tools and a head of hair and you’re bound to get something extraordinary. New York’s Fall 2012 fashion week hair was quite timid and practical, however. The looks were focused on clean lines or texture, pony tails or feminine and down.
