Last tuesday was the first official day of spring and that means it’s perfectly acceptable to pull out the open-toed shoes and bright pops of color – including makeup.
When I think of spring, a vibrant rainbow of colors pop into my head. From a red purse to a pink lip to a coral dress, bold hues are all par for the course. But what about a colored eye? Let’s be honest, any color, especially a bright color, is difficult to pull off when it comes to the eyelid. But as the spring 2012 runway’s indicated, colored lids are bound to be a trend this spring season, even if they haven’t entirely made their way to the red carpet just yet. If the high-intensity pigments have got you scared straight into a life of neutrals, try easing into the color shadow trend. Try a pastel, a light wash of color, or sub a pretty colored eye pencil for the entire lid of shadow.
