The Ultimate Holiday Gift Guide

Ultimate Holiday Gift Guide

When it comes to making your holiday wish list (and checking it twice), look no further than this post; a collection of the best gifts to give and get as curated by some of the most talented makeup artists (and a hairstylist!) in the business. So, if you’re unsure of what to gift your loved (and not-so-loved-but-have-to-gift-anyway) ones, or if you’re simply drawing a blank when it comes to lusts and musts for Christmas gets, peruse the favorites below. We’re betting you’ll find many nice items to add to your naughty wish list!

Hairstylist Clariss Rubenstein, who works with Mindy Kaling, January Jones, and Katie Lowes.
Gift to Get: I’m absolutely dying for a Saint Laurent Emmanuelle Bucket Bag ($1950); medium size and black please! It’s perfection.
Gift to Give: My favorite gift to give is a Mason Pearson Boar Bristle Brush ($120). It’s essential. Every girl needs one!

Makeup Artist Julie Harris, who works with Olivia Wilde, Ashley Greene, and Robin Wright.
Gift to Get: NARS The Vault ($500). This is a beautiful gift of 10 Audacious lip colors and nail polishes in a gorgeous case. It is a great variety of lip and nail colors and I’d love to receive it!
Gift to Give: Laura Mercier Into The Wild Lookbook Collection ($113). This is such great collection. It has a wide range of colors for everyone – from neutrals, to forest greens, to violets, to create any type of look on the eyes. And it’s such a great price!

Makeup Artist Tamah, whose clients include Alexa Chung, Allison Williams, and Liv Tyler.
Gift to Get: My favorite gift to get is a lovely diary. I love the ritual of recording time; memories are priceless. I love the diaries from Keel’s ($15). They are clever, and prompt you with interesting questions about your day; they also come in an array of fun colors. I love the pink one for myself!
Gift to Give: My favorite gift to give are silk pajamas! Most people don’t spend a ton on pajamas, why not spoil your loved ones with a decadent good nights sleep! I love these by Eres ($755). They are beautiful, comfortable, and timeless!

Makeup Artist Kirin Bhatty, who works with Kiernan Shipka, Jessica Pare, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Jenny Slate.
Gift to Get: This year, I really want a Byredo Fragrance ($145). I’m feeling “Gypsy Water.” The packaging is clean and minimalist making it the perfect addition to any vanity. Smells absolutely heavenly, and is a lovely and chic gift. (Hint hint to anyone reading this)
Gift to Give: I absolutely love gifting Tocca candles ($38). I think they’re really special. From the gorgeous packaging that encourages you to “love yourself” in perfectly written script, to the incredibly fragrant payoff, long burning time, and elegant and timeless votive, I think these are the perfect gift. They’re so fun to buy since there are so many fragrances to choose from, you can really find one that takes in all the different personalities on your Christmas list. They embody a sense of old world romance; a great thing to gift anyone.

Grooming Artist Lucy Halperin, whose clients include Jason Bateman and Aaron Taylor Johnson.
Gift to Get: A pilates machine ($2995) from Peak Pilates. I have recently become addicted to Pilates. I think it’s the one exercise I would actually stick to doing at home!
Gift to Give: Flowers weekly for a year. A flower delivery makes everyone happy!

Makeup Artist Darlene Jacobs, who has worked with Lizzy Caplan and Kate Mara.
Gift to Get: Crippen Jake Shirt ($395). I covet the entire Crippen line, but could wear this particular shirt every day!
Gift to Give: Mun No.11 Anarose Rejuvenating Rose Toner ($68) with Mun No.1 Aknari Brightening Youth Serum ($95). This skin care line is one of my all time favorites, it’s all natural, feels amazing, and has a business model I can get behind, and I want all of my friends (men and women) to be able to experience it.
