Shine Bright Like A Diamond: Tata Harper Illuminating Products

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend… and now they are our complexion’s best friend, too. Tata Harper’s new Illuminating products – a face moisturizer and an eye cream – combine diamond dust with hydrating and pluming ingredients like hyaluronic acid for skin that seriously radiates. It’s like carrying a strobe light around with wherever you go.

The Tata Harper Illuminating Moisturizer ($85) reminds us of our old-school favorite Fresh FreshFace Instant Glow Luminizer ($38), but on steroids. While Fresh’s Instant Glow doesn’t *really* moisturize that well – in other words, you’ll certainly need to combine with a moisturizer – but the glow is next level gorgeous, Tata Harper’s Illuminating Moisturizer gives that same healthy glow but with the added bonus of actually being an effective daily moisturizer.

This moisturizer can be used on all skin tones for a soft-focus luminescence, but it’ll also combat aging concerns like fine lines and wrinkles and overall dullness or uneven texture. While its rose gold pearlescence can awaken a tired complexion when used over the entire face, it can also be used as a spot treatment highlighter by being tapped onto certain high points, like brow and cheek bones. If using to spot highlight, apply as the last step in your makeup/ skincare regimen.

The Tata Harper Illuminating Eye Cream ($95) is just as fab, if not more. The formula also contains diamond dust to illuminate and hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump, but ingredients that reduce puffiness and dark circles have been added as well. It’s super hydrating, gorgeously illuminating, and gives tired eyes a new lease on life by offering the illusion of brighter, more awake skin. We like to use it in the morning to plump, hydrate, and illuminate, and we dab the remained around our sensitive mouth area, too (it hydrates and plumps and adds a hint of glowing sheen).

The one caveat to both of these products is that the scent – a sweet, floral, aroma – is quite intense. It’s all-natural and we find it rather calming and pleasant, but if you’re not a fan of fragrance, then opt out. It really is madly overwhelming.

With that said, these two products are part of that rare new hybrid of skincare + makeup; it can be used in place of makeup, but with all of the delicious skincare benefits. After all, your complexion deserve to shine bright like a diamond.
