“This season textured long hair is super in and the flip side to that is short ‘crowns of glory’,” explains Neeko Abriol, personal hairstylist to Halle Berry. ” I say CUT IT OFF!!” I asked Abriol to give his tips on the best fall cut and style for every face shape.
Here are his suggestions for different shaped faces:
Round (think Michelle Williams) – Softening the fullness, or roundness, of the face is the goal. Try bangs or wispy pieces coming towards the face.
Oval (think Halle Berry)- ANYTHING goes – long hair, short hair or a bun – it’ll all look good. Oval is the ideal face shape for any hair style.
Heart (think Miley Cyrus) – You want to soften the forehead and enhance the cheekbones – a side swept bang can be very pretty. Or do as Miley Cyrus has done and shave the sides while adding height to balance the cut.
Square (think Morena Baccarin) – Softening all points of the face, try lots of pieces coming towards the face or a bob. A mid length cut is ideal, square faced ladies who wear a bob look great when it swings chin length.
