What’s your beauty vibe?
I’m honestly more of a Joni Mitchell type–prefer the natural look with a little makeup, great skin, incredible creative talent, and, of course, those fabulous cheekbones.

What’s the first beauty product you owned and loved?
In the late ’60s, I was 14-years-old and living in Switzerland, and I was obsessed with the Mod look. When my dad bought me a paper dress from London’s Carnaby Street, I immediately bought glittery silver lipstick from Yardley to complete my look. I must confess that the lipstick lasted longer than the paper dress!

What’s your favorite beauty treatment splurge?
First a quick dip in the ocean and then an OSEA facial at Spa Montage, Laguna Beach. I love that beach in front of the Montage!

What’s your daily makeup routine — and how long does it take?
The only makeup I use is lipcolor. If I’m going to an event or out with friends, I’ll wear W3LL People Bio Extreme Lip Gloss in Nude Rose ($15). It leaves a barely-there soft natural glow that really brightens up my face.

What’s your daily skincare routine?
I use OSEA products (naturally). At night, I wash my face with Ocean Cleansing Milk ($48), followed by a few spritzes of Sea Vitamin Boost toner ($38). I mix antioxidant-rich Brightening Serum ($60) with moisture-rich Hyaluronic Sea Serum ($88) for a dewy look. I finish with my favorite product, the super rich Advanced Protection Cream ($98). A few times a week, I exfoliate with our Vitamin C Probiotic Polish ($108), which leaves my skin glowing. Once a week, I will use a mask—often, the White Algae Mask ($48) for brightening.

Age gracefully or filler and botox, please and thanks?
I’m not into fillers, but I live for anti-aging! I start by staying out of the sun and wearing sun protective clothing (which is hard when you live in SoCal—but totally necessary). Avoiding the sun is the number one thing you can do to reverse the aging process. (Shall I yell it from the mountain top?) Second on the list is to moisturize. All day long. I carry around OSEA’s Essential Hydrating Oil ($32) and apply throughout the day whenever I need a quick moisture surge.

What product do you buy in bulk?
Pure steam distilled and cold-pressed essential oils!

What’s your save-the-day hair product, and why?
Rahua Shampoo ($34). This vegan product is a permanent staple in my outdoor bathtub. Natural, environmentally-friendly, smells incredible, and leaves my hair silky soft.

Who is responsible for your cut and color?
Matthew Preece Salon, formerly Fred Segal Salon. Everyone there is amazing, highly-skilled, and radiating love.

Best piece of beauty advice you’ve received?
Stay out of the sun, take regular seaweed baths, and eat your vegetables. My grandmother gave me that advice and it’s been a total game-changer for my health and skin.

Who is your beauty icon, and why?
My grandmother, Elsa Reuschle. She was an accomplished professional (first woman chiropractor) and mother of six children. She swam daily in the Long Island Sound, even in the middle of winter! She taught me about the anti-aging benefits of the sea and was one of the inspirations behind creating OSEA.

What’s your least favorite beauty trend/ look?
Sun damage! Is that a look?

If you could only do one beauty treatment on the weekly, what would it be and why?
A soak in my outdoor bathtub. I can cover all the bases, starting with adding seaweed to the bath. Then I massage my face with essential oils, apply a mask, and work some coconut oil into my hair. Before getting out of the bath, I always pumice my feet. As I am drying off, I apply Anti-Aging Body Balm ($48) to my moist skin. Head-to-toe getting it done.

What’s your best kept beauty secret?
I wear many hats – literally – to avoid sun damage. My friends make fun of me because I ask to be seated in the darkest corner in the restaurant. Start in your twenties. You’ll thank me later.
